Aim of the workshop

This workshop is part of the activities of DFG priority programme SPP 1590 "Probabilistic Structures in Evolution". The idea is to assemble SPP 1590 members, leading experts in the field and guests from "outside SPP 1590" for a two-day meeting to discuss recent advances and perspectives in multiple and simultaneous multiple merger coalescent theory, including in particular the currently rapidly expanding field of applications in population genetics.
